Im Rahmen einer Laudatio sagte Ellen Loh-Bachmann (Eloba), Vorsitzende der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Leverkusener Künstler und Trägerin des Europäischen Kulturpreises 2003, über den Fotokünstler Michael Bork „… er drückt nicht nur auf den Auslöser, wenn ihm etwas vor die Linse gerät, er entdeckt Fantasien … „
Die unten gezeigte Auswahl aus seinen Kollektionen macht deutlich, dass Bork mit offenem und aufmerksamem Blick seine Umwelt beobachtet und thematisch keine Begrenzung kennt. Der Fotograf und Fotokünstler ist bekannt für seine fotografischen Werke, die die Grenzen zwischen Realität und künstlerischer Abstraktion auflösen. Seine Bilder zeichnen sich durch eine präzise Komposition, außergewöhnliche Lichtführung und eine tiefgehende ästhetische Sensibilität aus. Mit seiner Arbeit hat er sich einen Namen gemacht und wurde bereits in zahlreichen Ausstellungen präsentiert.
