CURRENT EXHIBITION
Schein & Sein
House Greiffenhorst, Krefeld, Germany
11–20 September 2026
Exhibition
How is reality constructed through images? What role do colour, material, memory and perception play in shaping the way we see the world?
These questions form the starting point of Schein & Sein (Appearance & Reality), a group exhibition bringing together five contemporary artistic positions in painting, photography and sculpture. Through diverse artistic languages and media, the exhibition explores perception, transformation and the constantly shifting relationship between appearance and reality.
Michael Bork
Michael Bork presents photographic works that investigate the boundaries between observation and transformation.
Working exclusively from his own photographic material, he develops images that move beyond documentary representation. Through a carefully constructed visual process, familiar places and moments evolve into ambiguous pictorial spaces where reality and imagination coexist.
Rather than documenting the visible world, his works invite viewers to question the mechanisms of perception itself, opening new perspectives on how images construct reality.
